I am a very proud citizen (Scottish descent) of the United States of America and I believe that despite her faults, the United States of America is a great nation. I believe we have been greatly blessed by God because for much of our short history we have acknowledged and relied on Him in our personal and public lives. I believe its culture and values are superior but only so far as it maintains its public faith in the living God and bases its culture and values on His word. If we reject God we have no base upon which to place our values, morals and laws. When that happens we are nothing more than another secular society whose morals, values and laws are based on popular concensus or "what feels right".
